I Remember, but Did It Happen?

Ever caught yourself defending something you knew, deep down, wasn’t right?

We create whole stories in our minds, well-wrapped scenarios, just to convince others (and maybe ourselves) that we’ve lived through something, and based on that experience, we must be right. Are we just trying to avoid being wrong?

It’s strange how far we go to protect our pride. We’d rather bend reality than simply say, “Maybe I didn’t see it that way,” or, “You’re right, I might be wrong.”

But here’s the thing: nobody wins in a made-up scenario. We come off polished, but not real. Confident, but not honest. And over time, that wears on our relationships and on our growth. Because if we’re always “right,” when do we ever learn?

Sometimes, strength isn’t in proving your point, it’s in allowing someone else to make theirs. Sometimes, being wrong is just the beginning of being better.

What do you think?
